-I am a storyteller and an image-maker. Paper, water, and brushes!

Hilkka Okkonen:<\/strong>
-I am a visual artist from Espoo. I live very strongly through emotions.
The inequalities of today\u2019s world feel painful to me, and this is reflected in my work.
I was born into a family of artists. My father was an artist, as were my mother\u02bcs father, my aunt, my uncle, and so on.
The smell of turpentine became familiar early on. As a child, I thought everyone was an artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-As the Toeks group, we have presented our CD-ROM works in numerous international exhibitions and festivals, including Kiasma (Helsinki), Transmediale (Berlin), Rencontres Internationales (Paris\/Berlin), the FILE Festival (S\u00e3o Paulo), d>art (Sydney), Cynetart (Dresden), Lovebytes (Sheffield), and the Nickle Arts Museum (Calgary).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
