Fairy Tale and Truth

Aarre Kärkkäinen:
-I am a storyteller and an image-maker. Paper, water, and brushes!
Thatʼs how they come to life: fairy tales.
And sometimes, they can even be a little scary.
Hilkka Okkonen:
-I am a visual artist from Espoo. I live very strongly through emotions.
The inequalities of today’s world feel painful to me, and this is reflected in my work.
I was born into a family of artists. My father was an artist, as were my motherʼs father, my aunt, my uncle, and so on.
The smell of turpentine became familiar early on. As a child, I thought everyone was an artist.
