The exhibition of Ilona Romunen consists of urban oil paintings.
Fleeting moments in the nearby urban nature are my impermanent territory in the rapidly changing reality.
I paint nostalgic pictures of the present based on my memories, dreams and everyday photos I take of my surroundings. I try to grasp the moments and memories, but my imagination inevitably turns them into something else.
