Joint exhibition and events

The exhibition and events are organised by Espoo Visual Artists Association in collaboration with Espoo Authors which both celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2019. They participate in Finnish Painters’ Union Anniversary exhibition weeks -event series with the exhibition and visual arts / literature events taking place on Saturdays. In Taiteiden havinaa – joint exhibition we search for common features in the art of artists born in the same decade. What connects the artists?
Seven painters have been chosen to the exhibition and they are members of both Espoo Visual Artists and Finnish Painters’ Union.

On the events on Saturdays Espoo Authors bring to the exhibition their member authors to have dialogue with visual artists.

The Finnish Painters´ Union is celebrating its 90th anniversary by staging a wide-ranging series of exhibitions throughout 2019. These exhibitions and associated events present the diversity of the art of painting
In October 2019, the art of painting will be presented around Finland. Local artists’ organisations in 17 different locations will hold exhibitions or other events related to painting. These exhibitions will display works created by members of the Painters’ Union who are living in the area.
The events of the anniversary exhibition weeks will take place in the following municipalities: Rovaniemi, Oulu, Seinäjoki, Kuopio, Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Tampere, Hämeenlinna, Hyvinkää, Lahti, Lohja, Järvenpää, Loviisa, Porvoo, Espoo, Vantaa and Helsinki.
