Human Locational Knowledge
Welcome to the opening ceremonies on Tuesday 1.4. at 17-19.
In her colorful oil paintings, Tytti Heikkilä seeks new ways to express the experience of a natural landscape. Heikkilä sees landscapes as dynamic, narrative spaces with a strong emotional charge, and she pays a lot of attention to composition, sense of space and interaction of colors. During the past few years, she has started to introduce figures in her paintings, and they add new kinds of personal and cultural meanings to the natural landscape.
