Brush-Stroke
Vernissage on Tuesday 7.1. 17-19
My exhibition consists of pieces from Brush-Stroke series from the
years 2016-2019. The pieces are realistic drawings of abstract
brush-strokes. I have researched the brush-stroke through camera lens
and drawn my observations as precisely as possible, aiming to get
closer to the true meaning of painting, the meaning of being. The
series portrays the brush-stroke, which doesn’t per se portray
anything else but itself. Mark is just a mark. The thought that
something is only what it is, and nothing else, feels somehow
liberating at this moment.
